I value quality and am happy to invest in things that can withstand years of use and wear. That’s certainly the case with the gardening tools from the Dutch company DeWit. Here, we’re talking about genuine craftsmanship made from hardened boron steel, produced at the company in the small northern Dutch town of Kornhorn. All handles are made from Dutch ash wood.

My enthusiasm for DeWit’s tools grew even further when I was introduced to their tools with ergonomic handles, for which I now have exclusive distribution rights.

They are especially brilliant if you have problems with your hands, elbows, or shoulders. See what the Danish Rheumatism Association writes:

“In our reference group here at the Danish Rheumatism Association, we have tested DeWit gardening tools, and they have been approved. It is especially the length of the handle, the extra grip at the end, as well as the weight and the solid materials, that convinced the reference group that this type of truly unique gardening tool can be of benefit and joy to, among others, people with arthritis.”

Along with the hoe, cultivator, planting fork, and heart-shaped hoe, the pointed trowel is almost indispensable. The sharp edges and point allow the blade to move effortlessly through the soil.
