Are you tired of algae in your garden pond? Help is on the way!
The key is to prevent light from penetrating the water surface, and you can do this with a patented product called Dyofix.
It is a liquid or powder that is added to the water and colors it black. This also means you get the most beautiful water mirror. And if the pond is rusty, it will appear black.
It’s important to mention that the product is harmless to humans and animals. Fish are not harmed by the dye; on the contrary, it protects them because it makes it harder for birds and cats to see them in the water. The manufacturer states that the product is made with colorants approved by the EU for use in food.
Plants with leaves in or above the water surface—such as water lilies—are not affected.
Note that Dyofix is highly concentrated and can stain hands and clothing. Therefore, it is recommended to use gloves.
The package contains 10 sachets with 100 g of powder each. One sachet is enough for 3,000 liters of water.
The sachet is water-soluble and can be placed directly in the pond, where it dissolves and the powder disperses.
If you have smaller ponds, I recommend dissolving one sachet in three liters of water. One deciliter of this solution colors 100 liters of water.
