Memory game with Astrid Lindgren’s beloved character Pippi Longstocking and the original illustrations by Ingrid Vang Nyman.

The classic memory game is both simple, cozy, and educational. The cards are placed face down, and players take turns flipping two cards at a time in an attempt to find a matching pair. If you find two identical cards, you keep them—otherwise, they are turned face down again. The goal is to remember where the different images are hidden.

For children, memory is a fun way to train memory, concentration, and attention. At the same time, the child practices recognizing images, waiting for their turn, and maintaining focus through play.

Pippi Longstocking is Astrid Lindgren’s strong, imaginative, and very special girl with the red braids, who lives in Villa Villekulla together with her horse and the monkey Mr. Nilsson. The first book about Pippi was published in 1945 and quickly made the free-spirited and fearless girl one of Astrid Lindgren’s most beloved characters.

The distinctive illustrations by Ingrid Vang Nyman became an important part of the Pippi universe. Today, she is considered the original and, for many, the “real” Pippi illustrator, because it was her images that gave Pippi the iconic look with the red braids, freckles, big shoes, and confident expression. With her simple, colorful, and modern style, she created the classic image of Pippi, Tommy, Annika, Mr. Nilsson, and life around Villa Villekulla. Her drawings are full of humor, energy, and personality and have, through generations, helped shape our image of Astrid Lindgren’s beloved Pippi.
