I am so captivated by the many beautiful, woven patterns on the tea towels/kitchen towels, and I am really happy to have them as part of my selection because they fit perfectly into my blooming universe.
The weaving mill, founded in 1692, has had its production in Sweden for more than 300 years and still does. That is a rarity.
In 2016, Ekelund became GOTS certified. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is an internationally recognized certification standard for organic textiles. It ensures that textile products have been produced under organic and environmentally friendly conditions, from the initial sowing of raw materials to the finished product. The purpose of GOTS is to promote sustainability and provide consumers with quality textiles that meet high environmental and social standards. The certification covers both environmental and social aspects of textile production and is known as the most reliable certification in the textile industry.
The tea towels/kitchen towels can be machine washed at 60 degrees, but must not be tumble dried.
