The olive soaps come from the French-Syrian cosmetics brand, Al Bara, known for their unique soaps. They are made from cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, which is the highest quality olive oil. In addition, mild, delicate fragrances are added.
The company was established in 2014 by Zeina Egho and Albane Liger-Belair.
Zeina came to France in 2012 because of the war in Syria. Her grandfather had owned a traditional soap factory in Aleppo, and she wanted to keep the family’s proud craft heritage alive.
In France, Zeina met the French entrepreneur Albane Liger-Belair. The two women developed a strong friendship and together founded Al Bara, which means ‘purity’ in Arabic.
The olive soap has numerous beneficial properties:
