Sowing tray made of heavy rubber, W: 26 cm H: 4 cm L: 23 cm

When I was introduced to this seed tray made of natural rubber – also Fairtrade, FSC certified, and CO2 neutral – I was simply thrilled. It was exactly what I had been looking for:

A durable tray with 30 cells. Suitable for direct sowing or pricking out.

I am tired of the thin plastic seed trays that break easily and rarely last more than a single season. This tray will last a lifetime!

The trays are produced in Sri Lanka as a Fairtrade project. This ensures better rights for the farmers, including higher wages and paid leave during illness or pregnancy. The organizations certifying the producers also focus on equal pay for women and men, healthy and safe working conditions, and ensuring that working conditions do not harm any child workers’ well-being or their opportunity to attend school.
